The Sonoma County Book Festival invites all booklovers to Northern California’s oldest and largest book fair. Your enthusiastic loyalty keeps us among the few hundred surviving community book festivals in America. An annual event since 2000, our free festival brings readers and writers together in a full day devoted to books and the people who love them.

The Sonoma County Book Festival celebrates the literary arts and promotes literacy. Our important community event reflects Sonoma County’s vibrant diversity. Committed to sustaining the freedom of writers’ voices, the festival presents a rich variety of reading and listening choices. We feature local writers and artists, and we support local businesses and causes. The Sonoma County Book Festival proudly champions our independent booksellers, who treasure books as more than product.

The Literary Arts Guild produces the Sonoma County Book Festival with the help of a growing team of volunteers. We depend on the kindness of neighbors—local businesses and individuals who sponsor the Festival. We gratefully thank our sponsors in promotions that recognize their support in the media, our advertisements, online, and on-site to thousands of festival attendees.

If you attended the benefits, the chapbooks make great souvenirs and reminders of those special events.
